Recover Socious Wallet Account

Introducing a More Secure & User-Friendly Wallet Recovery

Socious Wallet now offers a password-protected backup file for wallet recovery, eliminating the need for traditional seed phrases. This new method enhances security and simplifies the user experience.

Why Move Away from Seed Phrases?

Traditional wallet recovery relies on seed phrases, which come with several risks:

  • Loss or Theft – If someone accesses your seed phrase, they can take control of your funds.

  • Complexity – Managing and storing seed phrases can be confusing for non-technical users.

  • Security Risks – Digital storage can be hacked, and written copies are easily lost.

The Socious Solution: Password-Protected Backup Files

Our new feature allows you to recover your wallet using a secure, password-protected backup file. This eliminates the risks associated with seed phrases while making the process more intuitive.

  • No Seed Phrases – No need to memorize or store a long list of words.

  • Secure Backup – Your backup file is encrypted with a strong password.

  • Flexible Storage – Save the file anywhere: cloud storage, USB, external drives, etc.

  • Easy Recovery – Restore your wallet by simply decrypting the file with your password.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1: Backup Your Wallet

Before recovering a wallet, ensure you have created a backup. To do this:

  1. Open the Socious Wallet App and navigate to Settings.

  2. Select Backup Wallet.

  3. Create a Password:

    • Must be at least 8 characters long.

    • Should contain uppercase, lowercase, and a special character.

  4. Confirm Your Password and proceed.

  5. The app will generate a backup file.

  6. Save this backup file securely on your device or cloud storage.

Step 2: Recover Your Wallet Using a Backup File

If you need to restore your wallet, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Socious Wallet App.

  2. Navigate to Import Wallet.

  3. Tap Upload Your Backup File.

  4. Select the backup file that you previously saved.

  5. Enter the Password that you created during the backup process.

  6. Tap Done to confirm.

  7. The app will process the backup file and restore your wallet.

  8. Create a Passcode to secure access to your wallet.

  9. Your wallet recovery is complete!
